The influence of old post-metal greats is still here both figuratively and literally, as Magnus Lindberg Cult of Luna does have mastering duties on this latest album. Its an album on which I dwelt somewhat and their name is an amusingly evocative one for me. I affectionately refer to them as The Moth Botherer with an accompanying internal image of a child wielding an old-school bug catcher trying to swipe moths from the air. Indeed, this portmanteau and rhyme generator recently unveiled to me generated the genius fusion of Chrysolicit. The Moth Gatherer is a post-metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 2008. The band consisted of Victor Wegeborn and Alex Stjernfeldt between 2008 and 2013. In mid 2013, Svante Karlsson joined the band. In April 2013 they released their debut album A Bright Celestial Light on Agonia Records, and their second album, The Earth Is The Sky was released to critical acclaim November 27th, 2015.
