Unity Band - Pat Metheny. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. With Pat Metheny, you simply never know what is coming next. But among the many things that make this ever-changing artist so special is the consistent level of commitment and quality that he brings to everything he does. For the first time in more than 30 years, Metheny features a tenor saxophone in the front line. The last, in fact the only, previous Metheny-led record to feature a horn player was the iconic and influential ECM recording 8081, which brought the guitarist together with two saxophone titans, Dewey Redman and Michael Brecker. Pat Metheny Unity Band. Unity Band with Chris Potter, Ben Williams, and Antonio Sánchez. Pat Metheny Unity Group. Album Unity Band, Pat Metheny reveals that he can look in two directions at once. The group he's assembled here is an all-star ensemble. Metheny makes full use of this ensemble's possibilities. That said, he looks back through his catalog and composes for this band from some of the information gleaned there. One can recall the swirling melodic euphoria of the Pat Metheny Group in the guitar and guitar-synth interplay in Roofdogs. On the ingenious Come and See, Metheny's many-stringed Picasso guitar meets Potter's bass clarinet to create a tonal inquiry before Williams and Sanchez establish a deep blue groove. Unity Band. Metheny then again delved into solo and band projects, and four years went by before the release of the next Group record, a live album titled The Road to You Geffen, 1993, which featured tracks from the two Geffen studio albums among new tunes. The group integrated new instrumentation and technologies into its work, notably Mays' use of synthesizers. The USP is that Unity Band represents Metheny's first group with a saxophonist for 300 years or so and Chris Potter is well up to the standard of his predecessor, the late Michael Brecker. With regular drummer Antony Sanchez perfectly matched to new bassist Ben Williams, there's an easy loping pulse to the best tunes all Pat's own
