Karl Bartos, Florian Schneider, Ralf Hü Man-Machine German: Die Mensch-Maschine is the seventh studio album by German electronic music band Kraftwerk. The Man-Machine German title: Die Mensch-Maschine is the seventh studio album by German electronic music band Kraftwerk , released in May 1978. It includes the singles The Model and The Robots , and also Neon Lights . Upon its release, the NME stated: The Man-Machine stands as one of the pinnacles of 1970s rock music. The Man,Machine German: Die Mensch,Maschine is the seventh studio album by German electronic music band Kraftwerk, released in May 1978. Upon its release, the NME stated: The Man-Machine stands as one of the pinnacles of 70's rock music. The Man-Machine is closer to the sound and style that would define early new wave electro-pop - less minimalistic in its arrangements and more complex and danceable in its underlying rhythms. Like its predecessor, Trans-Europe. Plus, there's The Model, a character sketch that falls under the latter category but takes a more cynical view of the title character's glamorous lifestyle. More pop-oriented than any of their previous work, the sound of The Man-Machine - in particular among Kraftwerk's oeuvre - had a tremendous impact on the cold, robotic synth pop of artists like Gary Numan, as well as Britain's later new romantic movement. Kraftwerk's 7th album, while not considered their most innovative album that would be their 6th album: Trans Europe Express, it seems like it has inspired many albums since it released like, LCD SOUNDSYSTEM and C418. Like 'Neon Lights' sounds so much like 'Dog' from the Volume Alpha soundtrack. The Man-Machine maintains the extremely high level of Trans-Europe Express, but this time the band invested in a less atmospheric and more danceable sound, anticipating the synthpop that will dominate the music scene of the 80's. The German quartet was literally ahead of its time: The Model became a worldwide hit in 1982, four years after the album's release. Die MenschMaschine is ranked 391st in the overall chart, 98th in the 1970s, and 6th in the year 1978. The top rated tracks on this album are Das Model and Die Roboter. This album is rated in the top 1 of all albums on . The Man-Machine. Released May 19, 1978. The Man-Machine Tracklist. The Robots Lyrics. Though Kraftwerks exploration of the interplay between man and technology was recorded in 1978, The Man-Machine remains both futuristic and timeless. Opening with The Robots , Man-Machine takes a brief trip to the Spacelab , before returning to earth, the modern Metropolis , and its inhabitants. Closing with the title track, Kraftwerk leave us to wonder whether technology has perhaps left us all part machine. Artwork from the 2009 remaster. The Man Machine 1978. Album by Kraftwerk. The Man Machine. was sampled in. Rockin' It by The Fearless Four 1982. Music By Bartos , Hutter Words By Hutter. At the heart of Kraftwerk's artistic aesthetic is the relationship between Man and Machine, a topic that they pursue with quiet, concentrated efficiency throughout this LP. The arresting imagery that dominates Die Mensch Maschine is inspired by El Lissitsky he's even namechecked on the sleeve, one of the prime graphic proponents of the Constructivist artistic movement that emerged from Russia during an artistic upheaval that dominated Europe in the 1910's
