Ludwig van Beethoven, André Cluytens, Berliner Philharmoniker - Sinfonie Nr. 8 F-DUR op. 93, Sinfonie Nr. 9 d-moll op. Orchestra: Berlin Philarmonic. Conductor: Andre Cluytens. Composer: L. I first discovered these when I heard my first Beethoven symphony no 5 and collected all the records. Great to have them on cd and at a bargain price. Read more. The Cluytens Beethoven symphony cycle is my top version for two reasons: 1 His reading of all Beethoven symphonies are among the best that I have heard, among such top conductors as Walter, Klemperer, etc. and might be only slightly below Furtwangler. 2 The sound quality of this cycle is the best for my taste: fantastic tonal colours, crystal clear details, etc. Посмотреть сведения об участниках альбома, рецензии, композиции и приобрести альбом 1998 CD от Complete Symphonies на Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, is a choral symphony, the final complete symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed between 1822 and 1824. It was first performed in Vienna on 7 May 1824. The symphony is regarded by many critics and musicologists as Beethoven's greatest work and one of the supreme achievements in the history of music. One of the best-known works in common practice music, it stands as one of the most performed symphonies in the world. Karajan's 1963 cycle with Berlin is highly regarded by fans for its consistent interpretations and energetic and emotional playing. Collectors usually rate this set higher than the 1977 and 1985 recordings, also with Berlin on DG, which have been criticized for being somewhat more mechanical in performance and clinical in sound quality.
